Snehana originated from the Sanskrit term ‘Snih’, means oily or unctuous. In Ayurveda we use medicated oils internally and externally.

Snehana is a preparatory procedure and is also used as an independent treatment procedure to alleviate the patients Vata, Pitta, and Kapha disorders.
